Troy Davis Case. Confusion? Pride? Justice?

The death penalty has been a part of our societies for many years, and has been as of the most recent century a topic of very heated debate.

Some of the earliest Death Penalty laws have been found in the Code of Hammurabi (I know some of y'all were sleeping in 9th grade history class so you're going to just have to google search that one)back in the 18th Century BC. We deal most specifically with modern justification for the death sentence so we have to speak on more relevant cases and for that we turn to the heated debate of guilt and its relation to the convictions.

Before I go any further, there is NO REASON to debate whether or not the man is guilty on a blog or on twitter or facebook because we don't have all the evidence. The biggest issue that has been raised is that there is UNCERTAINTY with the conviction. Question, If there have been recantations and changes of at this point 7 out of 9 of the witnesses' statements:

Found here witnesses' statements.

Should the death penalty be continued??

Let me know, we could use the discussion for sure... and for anyone who wants the case timeline from beginning to end: The Troy Davis Timeline

  1. It seems as though there is something being hidden that if brought to the light will not only set him free but actually reveal who the real killer might be.

  2. That is the way that it seems. The cops were trying to persuade people to say that he did it. My thoughts? Another cop shot him and its a hell of a cover-up. But I'm all about conspiracy.
