A Ring Is a Promise to Come Back...

We've all seen the changed relationship status on Facebook which usually is much more than a joke, but what about real...true to life open relationships?

For some, a wedding ring actually is a commitment to be honest, to love and to cherish through sickness and in health, and even after a few sexpeditions with neighbors and friends. Many feel that monogamy is the only way to live, and the only reasonable way to have a relationship...these few people however, the proponents of sexual forgiveness in a relationship would beg to differ.

Understandably so in my humble opinion, because as it appears, the only thing that keeps us from "cheating" in most cases is the effect it may have on our significant other. The significant other in most cases has had similar thoughts which leads me to believe that the truth behind monogamy is that it is entirely society created (my best guess is to protect lineage as it was such an esteemed thing to protect in earlier ages of civilization)in an effort to separate humans from the rest of the mammals.

Oh we're fancy huh? CHOOSING monogamy as a societal norm?
From some of our earliest ancestors, humans have displayed a need for sex for pleasure. How could we forget this?

What are the benefits of a relationship with one person that are unable to be achieved through an open and more "flexible" relationship as some of our more advanced thinking fellow humans? Are they simply crazy for thinking that they should live happily with one person and taking part in extracurricular activities with another? Wrong for having their cake and eating it too? Or are we, the "normal" people doing it all wrong?

Troy Davis Case. Confusion? Pride? Justice?

The death penalty has been a part of our societies for many years, and has been as of the most recent century a topic of very heated debate.

Some of the earliest Death Penalty laws have been found in the Code of Hammurabi (I know some of y'all were sleeping in 9th grade history class so you're going to just have to google search that one)back in the 18th Century BC. We deal most specifically with modern justification for the death sentence so we have to speak on more relevant cases and for that we turn to the heated debate of guilt and its relation to the convictions.

Before I go any further, there is NO REASON to debate whether or not the man is guilty on a blog or on twitter or facebook because we don't have all the evidence. The biggest issue that has been raised is that there is UNCERTAINTY with the conviction. Question, If there have been recantations and changes of at this point 7 out of 9 of the witnesses' statements:

Found here witnesses' statements.

Should the death penalty be continued??

Let me know, we could use the discussion for sure... and for anyone who wants the case timeline from beginning to end: The Troy Davis Timeline

Were the SATs ever this scary?

Months before taking the SAT, my mother started her "you need to be studying" speeches. I'm sure everyone had the same or a similar experience with parents at some point trying to convince you what you NEED to be doing (mind you, I don't even think my parents took the SAT).

Needless to say, I didn't study for the SAT and did quite fine. The morning of, I can remember being relaxed as ever. Who's scared of a test??

That was 2005, in October (it was kinda chilly that morning, honestly) and it was the first attempt with the "new test" that incorporated the writing section. The damn test wasn't even hard. I know some people study for months and prepare for the SAT but in the end I think relaxing is the most important...

HONESTLY, what would you want to look like when you take a test...
Scared Pictures, Images and Photos

OR...

I'd suggest that the best way to prepare for anything is to just relax and not care about it. Either way

Here's an interesting story about the SATs.

Pardon The Jingle...

Please pardon the jingle when I walk, because I live on change and small bills...

The economy as we all know has been less than impressive over the years. People are surviving on very limited income and some with no income at all. For those of us who are unemployed or simply unhappy with what we are currently doing, check this out.

Entertainment or a NEW CAREER?? READ THIS!.

This is a very interesting read and can possibly be something that one or two people might find valuable. Hopefully a few more.

To Clarify...

The premise of my plan is simple. I want to write about something that is going to grab the attention of a wider audience. Maybe it will be about Financial tips or music, or sports, or relationships or health. I'm looking to embark on a project, do some research and provide entertainment.

The ultimate goal is simple,

My goal is to be able to reach a wider audience and eventually promote people like painters, authors, photographers, musicians, etc...and be able to get people to support their craft.

Help me help others.

Contemplation

New stages in life bring about new ideas, new flavors, new styles and new characters. Changes in lifestyle leave me with the desire to do something new. For that I need some assistance.

My question is simple...what do you want to read about? What actually interests you? I'm interested in taking a a journey through what fuels people and I'll do the grunt work, I just need a little input in the form of reactions and feelings.

So what do you like? Leave a comment so I can get started with this social expedition.
